The following is a list of all the supplies and ingredients recommended to follow the suggestions and recipes on this website. To find out more see Pantry Essentials.

Ingredients

Fresh fruit and vegetables:

  • coleslaw mix/lettuce/baby spinach
  • mushrooms (button or flat)
  • cherry tomatoes
  • Lebanese cucumber (or Qukes)
  • red capsicum
  • carrot
  • celery
  • small potatoes
  • small bananas
  • Granny Smith apple

In the aisles:

  • wholegrain sliced bread (or wholemeal pita bread)
  • canned tuna in oil – 95gm
  • canned shredded chicken in water – 85gm
  • canned four bean mix, chickpeas – 125gm
  • canned corn kernels – 125gm
  • canned peas – 220gm (optional)
  • canned whole potatoes
  • canned diced tomatoes or passata
  • pasta in any shape or variety you like
  • small pasta shells, macaroni or elbows
  • plain, single-serve instant noodles (or ramen)
  • white rice in grain of your choice
  • microwave rice in single serves (white or brown)
  • instant couscous (preferably wholemeal)
  • instant mashed potatoes
  • rice (or corn) cakes, rice crackers
  • red lentils
  • skim milk powder
  • wholemeal plain flour
  • quick oats
  • popping corn
  • almond meal (blanched)
  • desiccated coconut
  • canned light coconut milk – 165ml
  • chicken or vegetable liquid stock
  • chicken or vegetable stock powder
  • dried onion, garlic granules or powder
  • mild curry powder, Chinese 5-spice
  • dried parsley, basil, oregano, rosemary, chives
  • pepper, cinnamon, ginger, coriander, chilli, sweet or smoked paprika
  • soy sauce
  • cornflour
  • olive oil
  • canola oil
  • oil spray
  • sultanas
  • mixed nuts
  • cocoa powder (or drinking chocolate)
  • sugar, honey
  • baking powder
  • bottled lemon juice, lime juice

In the fridge:

  • extra large eggs
  • diced bacon

  • butter or margarine
  • natural yoghurt
  • cream cheese
  • sliced cheese
  • fruit juice

In the freezer:

  • frozen sliced or chopped onions
  • frozen mixed vegetables
  • frozen peas
  • frozen corn
  • frozen broccoli and/or cauliflower florets
  • frozen spinach (or kale) in individual portions
  • frozen (mixed) berries (or other fruit)
